WELCOME PARENTS & GAURDIANS,

            My name is Miss. Mishell and I will be your child’s teacher this summer, along with Mr. Andre (TA). Second grade is an incredible adventure, filled with wonderful activities and experiences. I am ecstatic about this year’s program! I am expecting and accepting nothing less than the best from each student. We have an abundant class of 17 students. Our students are not only from New Jersey but around the world as well.

            I currently am studying to earn a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education at the Graduate School of Education in Rutgers University. I graduated this past May with a Major in Psychology and minor in Education. The approaching experience at Palisades Summer VBS will be valuable because it is a way for me to utilize the things I have learned.

            In our program, learning is a team effort, and you and I have a common goal…to help your child become an independent, joyful learner. Mr. Andre and I will send classroom newsletters to keep you informed of our activities and lesson plans; and offer a blog with classrooms news, pictures, and updates. I would suggest reading to your child as often as possible and accompany them through the materials learned. As you can see, we are all in this together!

                                    -Please take the time to browse through it

                        2. T-Shirts!

                                    -Students will be given a Palisades Summer VBS t-shirt. They must wear                                                 it to every single field trip.

                        3. Bible Notebooks!

                                    -A separate notebook will also be needed for Bible Study.

                        4. Snack Time!

                                    -Students will have snack time everyday from 10:50 A.M. to 11:10 A.M.

                                    Please make sure to pack a healthy snack for your child!

                                    -Please pack water for you child to drink in class as well.

            I am eager to see what God has in stored for our second graders. It will be a great summer for our class. Together we can make it a success!
